Word works
This morning I wrote each of my letters on my word works card. I tried each of my letter sounds too. I enjoyed doing this activity and sharing my good work with my class, Mrs Tatum and her class too.

Talk to learn - Shopping Week
This week in Talk to learn Ngarino and Teziah have been learning communication skills around the topic of shopping. As a treat they got to put these skills into practice by walking down to our local Dairy and buying an Ice Cream. They had to use sign language, and their core board to communicate with each other, their Teacher Aids, Me AND the shopkeepers. Here is a video we have create together to help them relive and build on their learning in the future. A great REWINDABLE learning example for these children.

Supermarket
Today for talk to learn we built our own supermarkets. Teziah and Ngarino shared the blocks to build their own shelves and buildings.

Toys
This week at talk to learn we are talking about toys. Today we sequenced a train then we made a train track. Teziah and I shared the pieces to make our tracks. Nice work and lots of fun.

Spelling
I can spell the names of my classmates. The first four names I spelt from memory. The remaining names I spelt by first looking at each name on the publishing wall once and then writing each name on the whiteboard. Fantastic observation and recall Ngarino!!

We are reading the "Gingerbread Man" in class. We are learning to write about what happened at the beginning, middle and ending of the story. This is the start of my story about the Gingerbread Man.

Ngarino on Friday we asked you to hold Jayme's work while she did a job. When it came to her turn (and she wan't there), you just shared it for her. You enjoyed it so much that we copied your work and got it ready for you to share with others later in the real assembly. Well done. Great communication!

Assembly sharing
I am practising reading out my Mother's Day message for our assembly today.
I read to my class mates who sit quietly on the mat.
I even talk into a microphone as I practise reading out loud to the class. The teachers are so proud of my effort!
