Ngarino gets her chromebook

Ngarino was very excited when she received her chromebook this week. She has been getting it out every morning and setting it up.

        






Here is her first piece of work she has done, learning to use google draw.

Maths Term 2.

Ngarino has been working on adding without counting. She likes to count from 1 to solve sums.

She has been learning to use these maths grids to practise her basic facts.

Anzac Day Poem
Fighting
Missiles running
Hiding quiet
Scared lonely hungry wet
Stinky tired shooting
Muddy noisy
Hospital

Going to Birthday Party
wheels spinning way too fast
scaring myself to tears
riding on downhill slope
screamed when I fell off
really sore ankle
all fixed now
riding bike more slowly
having lots of fun

Mother's Day writing

My mum is the best mum in the world.

My mum takes me to my netball games.
She cheers me on at the court.

My mum takes me to McDonalds
She buys me my favourite dinner.

She cleans the house and my
Bedroom and our house is nice to live in.

My mum is the best as she takes good care of me.

Writing

Ngarino enjoys writing, with support from Bev. Sometimes she writes with the class and sometimes she likes to choose the topic. Here are 2 stories she has written in her book.

Ngarino likes My Little Pony and Twilight Sparkle.


Ngarino chose to write about horses. 

 Ngarino uses her excellent knowledge of the alphabet sounds and her alternative pencil to help her write. Her next step is to try to think about the sound first and to try to write it without looking at the cards.
